Custom Foot Orthotics

A wide range of orthotics are available from sport to dress and soft to rigid, depending on the individual needs of the client, footwear, and purpose in which they are issued. A biomechanical assessment is performed on each individual client, as per physician prescription, to determine if they do require orthotics, if their footwear is appropriate and if other services may be required.

Foot orthotics may help for the following conditions:

• plantar fasciitis
• shin splints
• arthritis
• knee or back pain
• pronated or supinated feet
• bunions, corns, calluses
• hammer toes
• Achilles tendonitis

Orthopaedic Bracing

“Custom bracing” is available for areas such as back, knee, wrist, etc, and is available through several popular orthopedic companies. Such companies include Don Joy, Innovation Sports, Airway Surgical, and Medical Specialties. These custom orthopaedic braces are intended for people suffering with osteoarthritis or sports related ligament injuries, which may possibly result in potential instabilities.

If a custom brace is out of reach, there are several “off the shelf” braces which can be measured to fit and produce satisfactory results for a fraction of the cost of a custom brace. Off the shelf bracing is common for conditions such as tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, patellofemoral disease, Osgood-Schlatters disease, and ankle inversion injuries.

• “Prospector” CSA Work Wear.
• “NAOT”: comfort and orthopedic footwear: casual, winter/fall, sandals.

Both women’s and men’s sizes are available through women’s size four to men’s size sixteen. Widths are available from AA to EEEE. Custom foot wear is provided based on physician’s prescription, for the “difficult to fit” foot. Most footwear available is foot orthotic friendly.
