Common neck injuries and conditions that
we treat include:
- Small nondisplaced condylar fractures and skull base fractures
extending into the occipital condyle
- Odontoid fractures above the synchondrosis level
- Stable hangman's fractures
A Philadelphia Collar is commonly used for the above injuries.
This type of brace gives total cervical arch support, and provides greater
limitations for flexion, extension, and rotation. Conformance to the shoulder
and lower jaw allows for increased stability and comfort. Ventilation
holes reduce heat and moisture.
